Inconsistent and mismatched
contracts for construction projects
lead to disappointed expectations,
expensive litigation and losses.
Attend to learn how to read and
understand the interrelated
documents on a construction project
so that you will know the extent of
your company's obligations, rights
and remedies to be able to manage
risks and avoid losses.
Understand with confidence answers
to critical questions such as:
-
Does your agreement have
unrealistic time limits?
-
Do the agreements bind your
company to overly broad
indemnification clauses requiring
you hold others harmless for
events that are beyond your
control?
-
Are you limited in your rights and
remedies?
-
Do the insurance and bonding
provisions make sense and can you
actually obtain policies and bonds
with the coverage required?
-
What limits your right to
timely payment?
