PRESIDENT / CCM CHAIR
Willie Paiz, CCM
Willie Paiz is a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and experienced managing heavy civil construction projects that includes construction of water and wastewater treatment plants, conveyance systems, pumping stations, wetlands, earthen reservoirs and water storage tanks, solid waste landfills, public roads and freeways, infrastructure for site development projects, sewer collection systems, recreational facilities, and environmental remediation projects. His responsibilities and expertise as a Construction Manager has involved him in all project phases from Pre-Design/Design, Bidding, Construction, Procurement, Start-up, and Project Closeout.
Mr. Paiz serves as a Regional Operations Manager for the Construction Management Services Group of CH2MHILL. His career goals are to support business development and delivery of CM Services to CH2MHILL primary Business Groups that include Water, Transportation, Environmental, and Government Facilities. Mr. Paiz's professional society goals for CMAA is to grow the number of Certified Construction Managers.
Brian Lizzet, PE, CCM
Brian Lizzet is a Professional Engineer in both Arizona and California as well as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM). Brian has over 11 years of engineering and construction related knowledge. His professional experience includes Construction Management, Construction Administration and Inspection services on a multitude of municipal roadway and bridge projects located in Arizona, California, Nevada, Michigan and Illinois with the majority of the projects being federally funded. Brian's knowledge spans from typical inspections to managing Contractor pay estimates, writing construction change orders, and final close-out documentation. In addition, his design background enables him to be well versed in contract specifications, design plans and cost estimation.
FIRM: Gannett Fleming
Jaimee has been in the civil engineering and construction industry for over twelve combined years starting with a student position for the Naval Civil Engineer Corps at Norfolk Naval Base near her home town in Virginia. After receiving her MBA from Arizona State University, her former company, Ames Construction, promoted her to a newly created Marketing Coordinator position. Over the following years Jaimee expanded this position in the company to include managing the technical and strategic teams of a $60 million pursuit. She was also able to unify her own goals and values with that of Ames by organizing a company sponsored 5K team to support the Child Crisis Center in Mesa, AZ. In September of 2016, Jaimee accepted a position at Gannett Fleming as a Senior Proposal Specialist where she concentrates on client development and proposal production for planning and design services in the transit and transportation markets. Jaimee an active member in the Construction Management Association of America, the Society for Marketing Professional Services and Women in Transportation – Metro Phoenix.
Candace Barrier, LEED Green Associate
Candace has worked in the construction industry for over 26 years, in a variety of roles, most of them centered on the execution of Project Management Principles. She is currently a Preconstruction Manager for Wilson Electric Services Corp. Having focused her professional efforts in Construction Project Management, she understands the complexity of the work involved with managing a project through its life cycle; and holds high the value of having experienced Construction / Project Managers overseeing each collaborative build. Her experience encompasses a wide array of market sector types including Educational, Municipal, Correctional, Federal, Sports Complexes, Solar, Recreational, Utility, and Hospitality. Her experience in project delivery methods includes Construction Management at Risk, Design-Build, Design-Build Assist, negotiated, and hard bid.
Over the years, Candace has been involved with numerous industry associations and remains passionate about the benefits they bring to the construction trade. Having been an active CMAA volunteer since 2011, she has served previously as the Marketing and Communication Director and is honored to now serve as Secretary of the CMAA-AZ Chapter Board.

Melanie Battista, LEED AP

Melanie has been an integral part of the CMAA Board since 2005. Prior to her current roles, she served as ChapterPresident, Vice President, Treasurer, and Programs Chair.
She is passionately committed to providing CMAA-AZ's members with all of the tools necessary to succeed in this industry. This includes working hard to bring meaningful and relevant topics

As the Owner of Gatekeeper Marketing, LLC, an independent business development, strategy, and marketing firm serving the A/E/C industry, Melanie brings 13 years of experience working for design and construction firms. Her expertise is focused in the areas of project strategy and pre-construction methods, presentation skills, client development and engagement, and industry relations. Melanie's portfolio includes heavy civil construction and engineering and vertical construction for both public and private owners in the CM at Risk, Design-Build, negotiated and traditional methods.
Melanie's roots in the field began in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1996, when she began working and learning at high-end interior design and architecture firms. She pursued this interest into Arizona, where she ultimately received her Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the Arizona State University's College of Architecture and Environmental Design.
With an appreciation of the benefits of many excellent mentors and leaders who have invested in her, Melanie zealously enjoys sharing education, training, and mentoring opportunities with students and industry newbies, alike. She represents CMAA-AZ as a regular juror and guest presenter for our Student Chapter at ITT Technical Institute and as a member of the President's Advisory Committee at the South Mountain Community College and has been a member of the YMCA South Mountain Board of Directors.

Scott Ziegler is the Vice President of Business Development for Hill International. Hill is a global leader in providing program management and construction management services to public and private sector owners. Engineering News Record (ENR) recently ranked Hill as the largest independent Project and Construction Management firm and the 7th largest overall in the United States. As Vice President of Business Development, Scott is responsible for assisting Hill International in identifying and creating new business opportunities in the local market while maintaining and expanding existing relationships with clients and strategic partners. Scott brings more than 25 years of experience from the Hospitality Industry and Financial services sector in areas of marketing, finance, business development, entrepreneurship, and management. Scott was raised in New York and is a graduate of the Business School at the University of South Carolina. He has been a resident of Phoenix for more than 20 years and considers himself a local.
MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
Salina Brown, MBA
Salina has been an active member of the CMAA Arizona Chapter since 2012. She previously held the position of Marketing & Communications Director from 2012 - 2014 and Board Secretary from 2015 - 2016. As the current Marketing & Communications DIrector her responsibilitie include communications to members in the Arizona Chapter including Chapter newsletters, the point-of-contact and maintenance of the Chapter website, and advertising/promotions. Salina has worked in the marketing/communications and public relations field for over 10 years and her background includes: branding and identity, market research/analytics, graphic design, website design/editing, advertising, social media/networking, ad/article copy writing, proposal writing, proposal production, proposal/interview team coordination, and public relations. She is currently the Marketing and Communications Manager for Rosendin Electric.
SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION CHAIR
Terri Hochnadel, CMIT
Terri has been involved in various roles within the Construction Industry for the past 8 years. Currently she is the Director of Operations at Concentric Construction Management (CCM), An Agency Construction Management firm in Phoenix. As a principal of the firm, she is involved in the day-to-day operations of the business as well as performing project management duties that involves her in RFP generation, Contract Administration, Consultant Management, and all phases of Project Management as well as Tenant Coordination. She holds a degree in Business Management and continues her studies in Construction Management.
As a CMIT, Terri is passionate about learning more about Construction Management and the changes that take place within the industry. She brings with her energy and commitment to CMAA and the AZ Chapter and is looking forward to helping in the growth of the membership for the chapter and the organization as a whole.

Bill Lukehart, CCM
FIRM: ARCADIS U.S., Inc.
Bill is a certified construction manager with creative and technical knowledge in the development of projects from inception to completion. Bill has over 22 years experience working on projects as an owner, program and construction manager. He has been responsible for all phases of project development including: project planning, budget development, securing project funding, procurement, contract administration, cost management, construction management, project commissioning and close out.
